SkyTeam Cargo wins `Best Air Freight Alliance' award
SkyTeam Cargo honored with the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards
SEOUL, KOREA (May. 4, 2005) – SkyTeam Cargo wins `Best Air Freight Alliance' award at the 2005 Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs) ceremony in Hong Kong April 27.
The AFSCAs are widely regarded as the most authoritative and prestigious awards for the industry in Asia, which is organized by Cargonews Asia, the region’s leading freight and logistics publication. More than 12,500 readers of Cargonews Asia were polled to select companies that are the best service providers in 41 industry-specific categories.
The finale of the ceremony was “Best Air Freight Alliance” award. SkyTeam Cargo won this award, coming in ahead of rival alliance WOW (membered by JAL Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, SAS Cargo und Singapore Airlines Cargo).
The representatives of Korean Air Cargo, KLM Cargo and Alitalia Cargo went to the stage and accepted the award together. Korean Air Cargo's Managing Vice President Sales Hong Kong, Mr. Nam-Sun Kim commented that “Winning AFSCA is very significant for SkyTeam Cargo, because the winners are chosen by world’s influential shippers.
